The Pressure Point
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
This reflection explores introverted feeling (Fi) as a data point for extroverted thinking. It also explores success as a journey filled with complications and lessons (referenced as the squiggly line). Finally it explores friendship (briefly) in terms of scope and mutual need.

Post Interview Reflection
Sunday Nov 15, 2020
Sunday Nov 15, 2020
In the sixteen hours since the interview, I have had two short, but definite, outburst of tears. Analytically, I could not understand the emotion but knew enough about my tertiary function (Fi) to respect it as a data point. In this reflection, I make sense of the emotion as an internal truth that has been trying to surface all week. Last night's interview/program about being an NT woman and having faith in myself as an NT woman was the vehicle in which this truth became clear. This reflection is ultimately about that clarity. [Note: In this reflection, there is a little talk about family violence, leadership and school reform.]

Occupation vs. Vocation
Saturday Nov 14, 2020
Saturday Nov 14, 2020
Much of this reflection is about understanding the power dynamics around teaching and me confronting the threats that my vocation as a teacher places on my occupation as a teacher. In this conversation you will also hear me process the internal versus external value of my PhD, the concept of authority, control and influence, and the introverted tax of dealing with people.

Nuance and Recalibration
Saturday Nov 07, 2020
Saturday Nov 07, 2020
In this reflection I talk about the dance between head and body (using the Enneageam system), about attempting to default the human experience and about recalibrating as we mature. Note: this reflection also mentions, gender, race, Enneagram EIGHT and FIVE, and talks around integration and disintegration.

Self Preservation as a Social Introvert
Thursday Oct 29, 2020
Thursday Oct 29, 2020
Most of this reflection considers self preservation and what it means as an Enneagram EIGHT. With this consideration, I talk about materialism, physical safety and financial well-being. I end the reflection thinking about my strong interest in the social world and my unyielding desire to fight for disadvantaged communities. This wiring for the social world creates a push-pull dynamic that listeners will hear me trying to understand. [Special note: I do spend time talking about introverted intuition as well as Dr. Beatrice Chestnut]

I also talk about what it means to be a life coach-- my strengths and growth points. Finally, I make two announcements about the podcast in which I'm excited (one at the beginning of the conversation and then one at the end).

Leadership, Self Awareness, Anger, Fault Lines and v Trauma
Thursday Oct 22, 2020
Thursday Oct 22, 2020
This is a powerful reflection for me in that I had several breakthroughs about my work as work and about my work as a strategy to the mastermind. Through it all, I realized that my Fi has been trying to tell me that the plan created by my NiTe (my front seat passengers) is faulty as it is not based on a clear sense of self. There's much here as the power of this reflection can't be summarized. Just take a listen.
