This is a podcast about personality theory and personal development. Primarily using MBTI, the host, an INTJ, talks about living out loud as an introverted intuitive-- a function that only INTJs and INFJs lead with (making up only 4% of the population). Harmony and the Individual
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
In this reflection I talk about being likeable and being an INTJ villain. I talk about self love when you have an unpopular personality type. Finally I talk about harmony and peace as an individual when confronted with demands and expectations of the tribe.

The Tribe and Individual
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
In this reflection (Part 2) I talk about identities, individualism and tribalism. I also talk about tribalism as a form of survival and as a socialization process. Finally I talk about friendship and friendship-building as a threat to either the tribe or the individual.

The INTJ Mastermind and the Social World
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
This episode is Part 1 of a two-part reflection. In it, I talk mainly about power and the psychology of power in the social world. It connects to a larger reflection (which will be finalized in Part 2) around tribalism, socialization, openness, agreeable-ness and friendship building.

Predictive Complications of an Ni Dom
Tuesday Jul 14, 2020
Tuesday Jul 14, 2020
In this reflection I talk about the predictive nature of introverted intuition. Specifically, I talk about INFJ's ability to get inside someone else's feelings and I relate it to my ability (as an INTJ?) to get inside someone else's thought process. I then connect these predictions to social narratives influenced by macro structures of our society. With these two considerations (being Ni and being trained as a social scientist), along with my confronting nature as a Type 8 in the Enneagram system, relationship building can get complicated. I end this reflection talking about agreeableness and connecting it to the previously uploaded reflection.

Doing Friendship as an Ni Dom
Monday Jul 13, 2020
Monday Jul 13, 2020
In this reflection, I start off talking about two concepts from the Big 5 personality framework: openness and agreeable-ness. After trying to unpack each, I talk about my challenge with being agreeable. Finally, I talk about how these concepts have played out in my friendships and my realization that they have caused turbulence. This is an incomplete reelection as I was learning about myself while talking. I will need to continue to reflect to figure or some competing/conflicting views I have within. I'm sure there will be a Part 2.

Unrestricted
Saturday Jul 11, 2020
Saturday Jul 11, 2020
In this reflection, I start off talking about a number of smaller ideas such as big personalities, being human, intellectual agency and President Donald Trump. With that being said, this reflection is mainly about educators and how in this podcast, I, as an educator, am breaking specific rules (such as having SMART goals, "starting with the end in mind," and always having "Aims, Goals and Objectives"). I end this reflection with a declaration that this project is about interrupting those expectations. By being unrestricted, I will give my introverted intuition (Ni) function more room to explore, uncover and create.

Data, Storage and Learning as an Ni Dom
Friday Jul 10, 2020
Friday Jul 10, 2020
This reflection is a two part mashup. In the first part, I talk about intersectionality and multiple points of powerlessness (bringing rare cognitive functions into the conversation). In the second part, I talk about learning theory as relationg to sensory data that moves from short term memory into long-term storage and retrieval. In the end, I raise the question of how rare intuitive types differ as learners and connect the proposed difference to communication styles.

The Disconnect
Tuesday Jul 07, 2020
Tuesday Jul 07, 2020
In this reflection I talk about my disconnect in real time conversations. I explain the disconnect in four ways: 1) Introversion (vs Extroversion); 2) Te (vs Ti); 3) Intuition (vs sensing); and 4) A vocabulary/word gap. I end the reflection with a question about the types of people or the specific scenarios in which I feel this gap the most.

Rhizomatic Thinking
Monday Jul 06, 2020
Monday Jul 06, 2020
In this reflection I talk about rhizomatic thinking. I also talk about quantum physics as relating to the Ni cognitive process. Finally I talk about the nonlinear nature of this podcast.

Questioning the Good
Friday Jul 03, 2020
Friday Jul 03, 2020
In this reflection I question the concept of good and my relationship to it. I spend time exploring anger as a necessary emotion for the human species and the social world. Finally I process the inter-relatedness between being good, being effective and self actualizing.
