Authenticity as a Double Decider
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
In this reflection I talk about TeFi as my decision making apparatus and my journey in resisting Fi (my tertiary function) to respecting it. This reflection starts with an expressed interest to talk about friendship (and there is a pocket in which I do) but it mainly is about exploring Te when it is connected to Fi versus when it tries to deny Fi.

Post Interview Reflection
Sunday Nov 15, 2020
Sunday Nov 15, 2020
In the sixteen hours since the interview, I have had two short, but definite, outburst of tears. Analytically, I could not understand the emotion but knew enough about my tertiary function (Fi) to respect it as a data point. In this reflection, I make sense of the emotion as an internal truth that has been trying to surface all week. Last night's interview/program about being an NT woman and having faith in myself as an NT woman was the vehicle in which this truth became clear. This reflection is ultimately about that clarity. [Note: In this reflection, there is a little talk about family violence, leadership and school reform.]

Much of this reflection is about understanding the power dynamics around teaching and me confronting the threats that my vocation as a teacher places on my occupation as a teacher. In this conversation you will also hear me process the internal versus external value of my PhD, the concept of authority, control and influence, and the introverted tax of dealing with people.
