Multiple Selves
Sunday Jan 10, 2021
Sunday Jan 10, 2021
This reflection ends with a consideration of the self as related to people, place and time. It raises the question of the true self when confronting different selves and the challenge of planning and making decisions in the absence of a central-identity. To get to this consideration, I talk about a leadership framework that assesses nine points of power one can access to have influence in the world. I also talk about being both a creator and an advisor in that system and how those power points connect to my four cognitive functions as an INTJ. I give an assignment at the end of this reflection which can be accessed at www.yournidom.wordpress.com.

The Making of Ni
Saturday Jan 02, 2021
Saturday Jan 02, 2021
In this reflection I posit that cognitive functions are not core features of the self but manifestation of something more essential as intersecting with the physical and social world. I specifically consider introverted intuition and wonder if it is a byproduct of a specific essence (pre-birth) functioning in a chaotic or unsafe environment. As a build up to this consideration, there were other talking points covered (i.e. behaviorism, liberation, consciousness, quantum physics, and a contrast between INTJ5 and INTJ8). *Trigger alert: abortion as a concept was briefly mentioned.

I talked about internal scripts that prevent us from showing up in our higher selves. Finally, I talked about growing up as a black woman and the messages that were heard and internalized through the socialization process. Note: black lives matter and all lives matter as topics were briefly mentioned as well as a catalogue of the themes that were covered in Season 1.

Friday Jan 01, 2021
Friday Jan 01, 2021
This is Episode 100 and marks the ending to Season 1. In it I talk about growing and inspiring impact-growth. Impact-growth is growth that starts on the inside but grows to have an impact on the outer world. With that being said, I also talk about introverts having something the world needs and possibly being critical instruments of change. I end the reflection talking about vulnerability being my own personal growth point especially as an INTJ8 seeking reciprocal relationships.

Finally I talked about the way the pandemic revealed cracks in our personal lives and trapped us in a single moment in time.

Radical Growth
Tuesday Dec 29, 2020
Tuesday Dec 29, 2020
In this reflection I talk about radical truth and radical growth that, together, requires us to resist shame, vulnerabilities and insecurities. I talk about information versus wisdom and my unwillingness to share wisdom as related to my own radical growth. I talk about hiding out in information, about overcoming darkness and depression, and about surviving abuse yet still holding onto trauma bonds. I end with a question to self... what would be of greatest value in the next season: to be information driven or to be wisdom driven?
