In this reflection I consider differentiated and contested love within the context of Christianity. The Jews were God's "chosen" people and the Gentiles, by way of Jesus as a sacrificial offering, were grafted in. While they were included, they never unseated the notion of the *chosen. The chosen remained...giving me a wondering of how this story compares to the narcissistic family structure (no disrespect intended). Additional themes: Sibling rivalry; Parental power and abuse; and Intergenerational trauma.

In this reflection I address the gift of seeing gaps as a burden when trying to do friendship. I also explore the skill of addressing those gaps and the way having this skill becomes an added burden. Finally I consider the contest that can arise when extraverted judging functions (Te and Fe) convene in one space.
